Donna Hutchison Parker was born at Grandma's house in the rural Missouri Ozarks during an ice storm. Despite some circumstantial evidence to the contrary, she did not grow up in the 1800s. She did grow up with a close-knit family and twin younger brothers who aided and abetted her imagination.
She earned a B.A. degree in art history from Oklahoma Christian College (now Oklahoma Christian University), and has since lived in several different states. The most important things in Donna's life are her Christianity and her family. She loves books, both reading and writing them; old things and their histories; and music, especially Celtic and bluegrass fiddle music.
She and her husband of over three decades have two adult sons.
